It provides temporary relief from common cold and cough symptoms such as nasal congestion, coughing, aches and pains and minor aches and pains. Vicks VapoRub Ointment is a topical cough medicine with medicated vapors. INSTRUCTIONS: For maximum relief, rub ointment on chest, throat and back as directed on the box.
