Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C)Place the flaky pastry on a work surface. With a knife, cut out the shape of your hand, leaving 1/2 inch (1 cm) clearance between your fingers and the blade. Repeat until you have cut out four hands.Place the first hand shape on a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Use half a hotdog for each finger and two quarter hotdogs for the palm. Use the egg yolk to baste the edges of the hand and top with a second hand, pressing down firmly to seal the edges. Insert an almond at the tip of each finger to simulate nails. Repeat with the remaining two hand shapes.Use a knife to make slits on each finger to mark the folds of the bones.Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.Serve the monster hands with your favourite tomato sauce.
