Preheat oven to 350 °F (180°C).In a large bowl, whip milk, cream, nutmeg, chives, garlic and parmesan. Season well.Add sweet potato rounds.Stir well and pour into a large oiled Pyrex dish.Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the potatoes.Bake for 40 minutes.Brown under the broiler.Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

    milk
  • 2 cups
    (500 mL)
    whipping cream

  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup
    (80 mL)
    chives, chopped
  • 2

  • 2 Tbsp.
    (30 mL)
    parmesan, grated

  • salt and pepper to taste
