In a large skillet, cook onion in butter over medium-high heat until golden.Deglaze with maple syrup and water. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low.Add salmon steaks and cook about 3 minutes per side. Remove salmon and keep warm.Reduce liquid over high heat until it forms a thick glaze. Season to taste.Spoon glaze over salmon steaks and serve with celeriac.
