Mince the garlic and the bacon.
Slice the green onions.
Dice the yellow onion and the tomato.
Dissolve broth cube(s) in boiling water (2 cups per cube).
Retain amount of broth indicated in recipe ingredient list and discard or keep the rest for another occasion.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add gnocchi and brown each side, about 2-3 minutes each side, tossing occasionally.
Remove gnocchi from pan and set aside.
In the same skillet, turn the heat to high and add the beef and spice mix, smoking it for a few minutes
Add garlic, bacon, and yellow onions.
Stir occasionally until beef is brown and onions are golden.
Add the tomatoes, broth, and gnocchi, bring to a boil, then reduce to medium-low and simmer until gnocchi is tender, about 5 minutes, and most of the liquid has absorbed, then remove from heat.
Add cream and 3/4 of the cheese and stir.
Serve in bowls and garnish with green onions and the remaining cheese.
